Spray-in Polyurea Liners

Primary and Secondary Containment Solutions

Polyurea protective coatings provide value-added solutions by significantly increasing your investment’s service life at a fraction of the replacement cost. Our eco-friendly, non-toxic, pure polyurea coatings contain zero VOCs or solvents.

Quantum installs pure Polyurea industrial coatings that provide effective solutions for:

  • Primary Containment liners
  • Secondary Containment liners
  • Chemical Resistant Liner
  • Complex applications with multiple pipe penetrations
  • Ideal for indoor secondary containments
  • Waterproofing of sumps and concrete tanks
  • Coating for steel or other substrate exposed to corrosion.
  • Waterproofing
  • Abrasion Resistance
  • Non Skid Floor Coatings
  • Traffic Coatings
  • Spray On Bed Liner
  •  Liner for concrete tanks, concrete floors, ponds, lagoons, reservoirs, dikes, irrigation ditches, tunnels, barges, etc.
  • Replace or repair failed existing sheet membrane liners.
  •  Steel tanks, silos, and pipes.
  •  Rock shield for pipelines.
  • Planter box liner.
  • Plywood decks.
  • Bridge deck waterproofing.
  • Encapsulation for EPS or other types of flotation materials.
  • Encapsulation for asbestos, lead paint, or other dry hazardous materials (Consult Quantum).

Rubber lining, paint and other surface protection simply do not last as long as polymers such as polyurethane and polyurea. They can also release and absorb materials causing contamination. And, they do not have the same abrasion and corrosion resistance as polyurethane or polyurea. Chemically aggressive fluids will find and exploit weaknesses found in rubber linings and paint. Many of our products are less expensive than comparable epoxy coatings with better durability.

Transformer Secondary Containment

Back-up systems typically involve hazardous materials such as chemicals, fuels, waste water, crude oil and other corrosive liquids. Our polyurethane and polyurea coatings are used to prevent surface degradation that can cause secondary containment systems to fail. Reactants and corrosive materials sit harmlessly against the polymer barrier. Coatings are not damaged by constant exposure to direct sunlight. Surfaces expand and contract without cracking in extreme weather.

Features

  • Conforms to most surfaces to provide a seamless liquid membrane/barrier
  • Can be installed while tanks are in operation
  • Fills around irregular voids such as piping, conduit, concrete bases.
  • Adheres well to both metals and concrete
  • Custom formulations available

Seamless Application

Spray applied Liners are your first choice when complex detail work is required. This commonly occurs in retrofits of existing secondary containment tank farm liners and primary tank relining. Spray applied geomembranes encapsulate details with a seamless liquid barrier. In areas where multiple pipes need to penetrate the liner, a spray applied material may be your only option. Spray-applied geomembranes have excellent chemical resistance. They can be formulated to resist many difficult chemicals, often at high service temperatures

Polyurea advantages

Quick & Convenient

Because the polyurea cures fast,  down-time is minimized and a quick return to service can be implemented without risking the integrity of the installation.

In Place Repair

If the polyurea were to sustain damage,  it can be repaired relatively quickly without needing to completely replace the entire “system”. We are also experts at retrofitting new liners in place of old, breached or damaged liners.

Saves You Money

Environmental remediation costs can be costly. That is why its important to choose a product that is seamless  since the majority of traditional weld-in style liners fail at the seams. Another Benefit to our liners is that we can provide products with very high elongation (up to 600%) to be capable of handling the freeze-thaw thermal cycling and ground shifting in Canada’s harsh environment.

Penetrations? No-Problem

Our Professional applicators at Quantum have developed a fail safe method of sealing to and around and pilings or penetrations throughout the liner, ensuring a lasting product that will withstand the elements.

What a great group of people to hire. They like to work with the clients and thy even came in early to spray my house. I also had a stressful situation going on and they were very sympathetic to it and were able to work with us. What an enjoyable experience. Would recommend them to anyone in a heart beat. Thanks guys and girls.

Spray in Lining Advantages

Unlike pre-formed liners, sprayed-on coatings are thinner and take up less space. They form a seamless membrane that exactly fits the shape, even where poles, pumps and other internal or external structures attach. Penetrations such as piping and drains are sealed so that even vibrations do not cause an unexpected leak.
